Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Years and years ago my friend and neighbor Evonne shared her Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe with me and I have been making them ever since. It has become everyones favorite recipe. I have shared it over the years with many people and I have even shared it here. I think it's great when the young missionaries want to try their hand in the kitchen. I get calls from all over the mission for recipes and the cookie recipe is requested more than any other. The butter here is not the same as at home but we make do. Also chocolate chips can not be found in the grocery store so the young ones just buy chocolate bars and chop them up. They can get pretty creative sometimes.
I shared the recipes with one of the Elders this morning and last night one of our young sister missionaries asked for the same thing. Sister Stapleton comes from the Island of Saint Martin and she had never made cookies before but thankfully her companion Sister Sharp was a pro and was more than willing to teach her the ropes.

I had a companion on my mission who would make cookies all the time. The cookies evolved to be HUGE every time...about three times the normal size. Everytime we would eat the huge cookies together we'd say, "If you're going to have a cookie, HAVE A COOKIE!"
I love your mission stories for so many reasons...I love that they remind me of MY mission stories. :)
I'm so glad you blogged again!
