Trushna took her big step Saturday and we are thrilled. She was one who was waiting for a vision or some huge manifestation before she would finally decide to be baptized. We tried to tell her that such would probably not be the case for her. She finally realized that a still small voice along with study, fasting and prayer was what would give her the testimony of the truth.
She and her sister come from the island of St. Martin and have decided to come here and study. They share an apartment and were found by the missionaries while they were going door to door. Not many new investigators are found that way but on this particular day they felt the need to go and knock on some doors just to fill the time before they had to head back home. Her sister is not ready for the lessons but Ben and I had the opportunity to teach Trushna along with the Elders and we have seen the growth she has made over the last six months. She now has a testimony and a conviction of the plan of salvation and I know it will play such a large part in her life.
