It was so great to see friends and family at Sacrament Meeting. The whole row of Senior Couples as well as our previous Mission President an his wife Sister Woodland were there along with one of our favorite Elders and his parents. These great people have become family to us and it was good to be with them again. As we looked down into the audience we saw our ward family and friends who used to live in the ward as well as some very great friends we have made throughout the years it made us realize how blessed we have been to have such a support system all this time. The Lord has never left us alone to walk in this world alone. He has placed angels all around us to help us along the path both on this and on the other side of the veil. Seeing my cute little brother (Did I say little?) and his fantastic wife and children made me realize just how important family is no matter how often we see them. They are always in our hearts. Seeing our children and grandchildren was the icing on the cake. These beautiful spirits the Lord has seen fit to send to our family were truly chosen for us and we are so grateful for them.
Knowing that our oldest grandson Brent will be starting his mission soon in the Mexico City West mission gives us hope that we will always be a missionary family. He has siblings and cousins who will have a chance to follow in his footsteps for a long time. Actually, we all really have chances to serve as missionaries in our everyday lives. We do not need the official call to share the gospel. We can do it in so many ways and we can be examples where ever we go each day. You never know who is watching us. We are not afraid to share worldly bargains and deals with loved ones when we run into them but why is it so difficult to share the most important blessing in our lives?
