When we visited with Shilpa and Shlok last night, Shilpa told us that she is planning on going back to India next week. She has told us all along that she needed help raising Shlok and that it was far beyond her talents to be able to teach him anything or keep him in line. She is going to try and talk her parents into coming back with both of them so they can help her raise him here, or if they do not want to come to Belgium she will either stay there or will return alone and let her parents or her brother and his wife raise him for about two years. I can not imagine giving up a child for two years and asking a family member to take over the job of being a Mother. As I watch my daughters and daughter in law, I know they would feel the same way. I am sooooo proud of my kids and how they are raising their own children. I know being a parent is the most difficult job in the world, but throwing in the towel is beyond me.
I was going to suggest to her yesterday that we help her paint her apartment and try to make it look more livable. Now she is planning on getting a new place IF she comes back. I can only hope Shlok does not destroy his new home in India or where ever he ends up the way he has the one here in Antwerpen.
You can tell by the pictures that Shlok does not co-operate when asked to pose for a picture. You will also notice all of his artwork on the walls. I pray for that poor little boy everyday.
