Driving to Heerlen Limburg, Nederland last week to do an Elders apartment check was a great experience. We love driving to new parts of Europe and enjoying the old structures mixed in with the new. I love driving around Holland just to see some of the old windmills still sprinkled throughout the country side.
After inspection (I feel like a drill sergeant sometimes) We tried to find the home where my Mother's sister used to live. The place was only about 5 minutes from the Elders apartment.
She had moved out about 5 years ago and the neighbor gave me the name of a man who used to know my aunt and when we located him several kilometers away, he gave us the same story of her moving. However this sweet man said he wanted to do some detective work and had a few "connections" at the city courthouse. He thinks he can find out how to locate her. I have not seen her for over 50 years because of hard feeling between the two sisters but would love to find her. I hope she is still alive. If not, I will gladly do the Temple work for her.
While driving back home I snapped a picture of one of the old walls that used to surround the town. I love these old structures.
