Yes of course it rains here a lot. We have to make sure we have our umbrellas handy at all times. You can walk into a home and have it look like a clear sky and when you come out it is pouring. Let me tell you rain and wool suits and coats just do not blend well.
We often drive through the Jewish district to visit investigators and seeing these gentlemen walking around with plastic covers over their high hats reminded me of the funny little plastic hats my mother in law used to wear years ago to keep her hair dry. I love seeing these young boys with the curls at the corners of their heads dangling. Those curls look pretty straight by the time they walk in the rain for a few minutes.
It is an every day sight to see mothers pushing a baby buggy with a huge plastic bag wrapped around the whole thing. A little water never stops these Europeans from carrying on like it were a beautiful sunny day. Some of you know that I absolutely LOVE rain. Yes Shirley I still love it.
