Eugene's baptism

Eugene is the fellow without the tie. Also in the picture is Elder Jacobs, Joseph Tunda with the red striped tie who was just baptized a couple of weeks ago, Our John Mbu , Esther who is Eugene and Grace 's Mom. Elder Brown and Grace sitting in the chair.
Joseph Tunda is a very enthusiastic new member. His brother is a preacher in a Christian church here in Antwerpen and Joseph used to be a substitute/apprentice preacher there also. When he was introduced to the gospel he embraced it with both arms. He can speak Vlaams but prefers to speak English. He met Grace at church a couple of weeks ago and now they are engaged.
A couple of months before Grace was baptized she asked us if it is allowed for a member to marry a non-member. We told her yes but that it would be so much better if she could find someone to marry who is a member. Life would be so much easier when both have the same beliefs and goals. Besides, why not marry someone for eternity. She was a little depressed thinking she would never find any one in the church. Well...Joseph showed up and started coming to church with her after meeting each other the first week he came. They are both waiting for some legalizations paperwork to come through so we may witness another wedding before coming home. I wish we could find John a girl. He would be thrilled.
