You can see just how narrow some of the roads are here. The freeways are fine but in the countryside it can get pretty tight. It is usually not too bad until you get to a place where you have a canal or a ditch on both sides of the road and neither car wants to get off the beaten path, it's a real game of chance. Even our little car takes up most of the road sometimes as you can see.
We could take our bikes like most of the Dutch people but we are just not in shape and the wind never wants to blow in the right direction anyway. This is the bike parking area at the railroad station. People ride to the station and park their bikes here and head to the next town. Yes, they do stack them to get as many of them as possible in a small area. I can forget where I park the car at the grocery store so I'm sure I would not be able to find my bike in a mess like this one.
