Family and good friends are a great blessing in our lives. It has really been evident to me that we can make friends wherever we go even within our own crazy families. We have friendships that go WAY back as well as new ones that we have been building in the last couple of weeks. Each day we have been able to either spend time with or talked to or received E-mail from many of them. We have even had a couple of phone calls from Europe from couples who are now serving there. This world would be a lonely place if we did not have each other to sustain, advise or just plain bring us down to earth now and then. Life becomes easier when we can stand on someones shoulders. We have learned so much the last little while not only about others but about ourselves. We can draw strength from everyone around us. Even bad examples can help us grow.
O.K. time to get back to bed, I am really starting to ramble. Nostalgia can do that to a person.
