Speaking in church

We finally spoke in church. It is great to have that behind us. Way toooooo emotional for everybody. We had a good friend play a great rendition of "How great thou art" on the piano and it was a real Kleenex moment. Ben was absolutely fantastic when he spoke, I'm just happy that I will have him there to back me up when I put my foot in my mouth. I usually only open my mouth to change feet. It does finally feel like we are on our way. No turning back now, although the whole house is pretty well organized and labeled so it would be nice to stay, we even got rid of a lot of "Junk" I can't believe all the "stuff" we have collected over the years and honestly thought we could not do without. We should have done this years ago.

We have been in contact with a couple serving in Rotterdam, where we both lived for most of our lives in Holland. The husband served a mission there in 1965 and his wife speaks no Dutch, but is learning. I am so glad that we can both speak the language. That will be one hurdle we won't have to jump, although with the mission spread out throughout the Netherlands, Belgium and the norther part of France we may have to learn French and also try to understand Flemish which is to Dutch as Scottish is to English. Who knows we may pick up some funky accent.
