Jan Wolfslag

This evening we visited Bro. Wolfslag. He was baptized about two years ago and is still coming to church. He is a musician and loved showing us all his toys. He has a collection of Saxophones as well as five keyboards in his little front room. He even has a major stereo system as well as a computer and a T.V. packed into the room. He was able to sit and play some smooth Jazz for us on one of the keyboards that sits on top of his billiard table and you could tell he loved every minute of it. He had a stroke about a year ago so he is not able to play as often or as long as he would like but he is still pluggin" along.

He told us we were welcome to visit any time. He has been divorced for about 25 years and he hardly ever sees his three children. It is basically the same story we hear so often here. People just do not keep in touch that much because life just gets too busy and divorce being so prevalent has really pulled families apart. The statement we hear so often is that the children now have "lives of their own" so no one has time to visit. What a sad story.
