Sister Eisenga

We see several people in care centers. Bro. Wagelaar we told you about is the man with Parkinson's and another is Sis. Eisinga who is 86 years old and pretty with it for her age. She has been a widow for 28 years. Before Bro. Eisinga died, they were pretty active members here in Leeuwarden. Even after he died she would hop on her bike and head for the train station and then on to church. Her three children are pretty busy in their own lives so she really gets no visitors. Even people in the branch have been too busy to go and see her. She loves having us come and can talk for ever about her life. She will sometimes join some of the other residents in the home when they have "coffee" but she made sure to tell us that she does not drink the real stuff. She has her own Mormon coffee. She is a very gracious lady and her room looks like a typical Dutch home with pewter, copper and Delft Blue along with her favorite dutch paintings. Even though I have a ton of the stuff back home I can't help picking up a piece now and then when I find something I just can't live without. Ben is really thrilled about hauling it home. O.K. so I will just leave all my clothes and shoes behind because I am already tired of them all anyway.
