Still talking about Elder Holland

At family home evening last night the youth were still pretty pumped about our stake conference we had this last weekend.  Pretty amazing if you ask me.  We live the furthest away from where the conference was held yet they insisted on being there when the doors opened.  They placed themselves on the front row of the auditorium and sat there waiting with their notebooks on their laps ready to take notes.

We talked about what we heard and what we felt.  Some talked about the assurance that Satan and his army will not be able to keep the gospel from moving forward.  Some were comforted by the apostolic blessing that was pronounced on us by Elder Holland about being faithful and having our families blessed because of it. Others said they felt that he was specifically speaking to them on the front row.  They all commented on how strong the spirit was and how difficult it was to leave and go back into the world.

Elder Holland told  our stake president that he was extremely impressed with these faithful young folk for coming early and occupying those coveted seats.

On a side note.  One girl mentioned to a friend that she actually got to shake hands with an apostle of the Lord when the friend told her to "wash you hand, save the water and drink it"  These kids are a riot.  They goof around  a lot and drive us crazy but  they have strong testimonies and we have really learned to admire them. One of our girls had been thinking about a mission and has now decided that she wants to go.  Great news if you ask me.
