Things are looking up

We had a great evening last night. Scarlet, Justine and the two of us went to dinner at the Patriarch's home. He and his wife were so sweet. We all felt very welcome. Sister Verheyen was able to tell Scarlet her conversion story and told her she wished that she would have been baptized sooner, instead of waiting 17 years after her husband joined the church. Justine was invited to come to Sunday School and Young Womens on Sundays instead of heading home after Sacrament Meeting, I think she may just do that because of Sister Verheyen and her encouragement.

Today we will be meeting with the Williams family again. They are the family from Suriname but the children were raised here in Belgium. I want to make sure that we have the right sized clothing for them to be baptized. I do not want a repeat from the last Baptism. Last Sunday I asked the young women to welcome Chelise and they did just that. She did not want to be baptized in front of a bunch of people she did not know so she wanted to wait a while. After the meeting she told the Elders that she would go ahead with the baptism next Sunday because she felt more at home now. The girls will be text messaging back and forth now because they all exchanged numbers. What did we ever do as kids when we did not have cell phones. I guess we just had to "talk" to each other instead. It's so funny to see kids sitting next to each other and instead of talking, they just text back and forth.

I seriously love your blog. It brings back so many memories and makes me smile every time.

I laugh about texting too, but then I do it as much as they do. I text some of my Young women for church on Sunday and activities on Wednesday. Funny schtauff.
