Here we go again. We had another baptismal service today. Shilpa the woman from India and the Williams family from Suriname, Meriam, and her daughters Chanise and Whitney, were all baptized this afternoon. The Elders are really excited about all the converts and we are so happy to be a part of all of this. The ward is a little overwhelmed with all the new members but the Lord keeps preparing people to receive the Gospel so they have no choice but to welcome them. Ben and I will continue with our visits with them to help them learn more.
The first picture is of Shilpa and her son Shlok and a couple who came to the baptism, the man is from India and his wife is Belgium. I did not get their names. Since Shilpa does not understand Dutch all that well and speaks very little English, Elder Brown asked to have the man come and speak in Hindu and his wife translated into Dutch for the rest of us.
The other three pictures are of Elder Steed and Elder Brown along with all the "girls" This ward has really become an International community. We have several different languages spoken during any given meeting. It gets a little noisy sometimes but oh well. We may not be able to speak English any more after two years.
