I feel really helpless today after being with Luydmilla. I drove out to the campground this morning to have another painting session with her but not much painting was done. She was very upset about news she had just received from the farmer who owns the campground. He was told by the state that people staying in the campground during the winter was illegal so now the place has to be closed down until summer. The family really does not know where to go. With no legal papers they are not able to sign a rent contract for an apartment. So far they have relied on his boss to sign for them in the campground but he is not willing to sign for another place. Returning to Siberia is no option because of finances and they would not have a place to live even if they were able to make it there. Family members there live in one or two room apartments and there is just not enough room for a family of five to crash.
The church can not legally help them because the family is now illegal and any assistance given to them is totally outlawed. Not only could the church loose their standing in the Netherlands but a very steep fine would be issued. I have bought several wood carvings from her but that is only a drop in the bucket.
They have another appointment with their lawyer/caseworker in charge of legality but she does not seem to be much help at all. Their paper work just gets added to the pile and meanwhile the family is between a rock and a very hard spot. We really do not know how to help.

We will pray really hard. I am sure the Lord will help them through this trial somehow--and you too!
