There are some people we meet who just seem so familiar. Going to the Oppermann home is the best place we go to every week. We feel so welcome and they claim to love having us come. I think we must have known this fantastic couple before we came to earth. They feel almost like family. They are an amazing couple and are truly an example of service and dedication. Their whole lives since they joined the church 50 years ago has centered around charity. Their history together could fill several volumes.
Yesterday we were treated to Bro. Oppermann's version of "Rijst Tafel" (Rice Table) The Indonesian people brought their version to The Netherlands and it has really become part of the culture. Bro. Oppermann made up his Dutch version and was very eager to share it with us. The meal was fantastic and the company was outstanding. I wish we could just take them home with us because it will be very difficult to leave them behind when we leave.
