These hands were made for "Wok"ing

Cooking Indonesian has been a challenge but well worth learning.   The only way I can handle that much stir fry is to use this huge "wok"  It's big enough to hold an elephant but I refuse to cook one of those.  Even Rick our Branch President's son had a difficult time washing this monster because it won't fit in the sink.  Oh! the fun we have with all these new adventures.

After our great night of cooking Nasi Goreng I felt we could perhaps try it again in a few weeks. Well......the next evening the young men and young women of the Groningen ward had a special dinner for the over 60's  "Old Folks"  We were also invited and we were honored to come and join the rest of the geriatrics for a special meal of yes, you guessed it, "Nasi Goreng"  Don't tell them I said so but ours was much better.  I don't think they used our trade secret of using our trusty seasoned wok.
