Make up your mind Mother Nature
Sounds like the weather is crazy all over, not just back home. We had a snow storm when we headed out the door this morning and after our study class ended we came outside to a beautiful sunshiny day. Still super cold but it was absolutely fantastic to feel the sun on our faces. The crocus are popping out all over the grass and spring just might make an appearance this year after all.
This week will really be a busy one for cooking. Family Home Evening, Missionary District Meeting, Dinner for Bro. and Sister Oppermann, Dinner for the Elders and an investigator, Institute class, Relief Society Social, and ending with a huge Pot Luck Dinner after Church on Sunday. Oh, and then Family Home Evening again. Trying to come up with different items to cook for each occasion is probably the hardest part of the whole adventure. Shopping and hauling home all the grub will sure end us up in a pile one of these days, and just think, all this work and the meal just gets snarfed down in 15 minutes. What is the Lord trying to teach us anyway?
We have learned that some people love having great titles to flash around. Being "President" of something is really sought after. It does not make them work any harder than the next guy but then they can stand around and tell everyone else what to do. Holding meeting after meeting also gives them a chance to glow. We really would just like to blend into the woodwork and let the glory seekers take the stage. I would rather just slither down to the little dungeon like windowless kitchen in the basement of our church and do the dishes. The rest of them can go for the spotlight if that's what they want.
